Thomas Pollare

Thomas has been a Partner of Venture Capital at 3i and has a long and extensive track record in the healthcare sector.
He has held several senior positions in pharmaceutical companies, including Kabi-Pharmacia AB, Schering-Plough Inc and Pharmacia-Upjohn Inc and has been responsible for the development of pharmaceutical products that have generated billions of dollars in sales. Thomas has also been involved in the biotech sector both in the US and Europe, working with companies from start-up through to IPO.
He is a certified physician in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine and is also a member of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal Collages of Physicians of the United Kingdom. He is on the board of Carmel Pharma AB and now also Xellia Pharmaceuticals.
Thomas has an MD from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden and a Ph.D from Uppsala University in Sweden.
